Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) are lightweight documents that capture architectural decisions along with their context and consequences, fostering transparency and continuity within agile teams. This article explores the origins of ADRs, their practical implementation, and real-world examples, highlighting how they enhance decision acceptance by involving engineers directly impacted by the outcomes. By combining ADRs with the Advice Process, organizations can achieve decentralized, collaborative decision-making, effectively leveraging collective expertise while maintaining architectural integrity.

What is your favorite Free or Open-Source UML Plug-in?
Every year I try some of them and remove them after few hours. As I remember, they were resource-hungry or just bad in reverse engineering
Some weeks ago i tried ObjectAid UML Explorer Class Diagram and liked it. It could quickly and easily create simple class Diagrams - just by Drag & Drop. And I had no problems with static constructors or inner classes and other stuff in the code which causes problems to other Plug-ins.

Installing bootchart You need bootchart and pybootchartgui
apt-get install bootchart apt-get install pybootchartgui That will automatically add bootchart logger to your grub configuration. Restart your machine and look for an image file in /var/log/bootchart directory.

In this article an would like to highlight a very useful Linux tool utilizes exactly this, a lsof (aka “list open files”) command.
To describe lsof in one sentence. Actually it shows all files used by some processes of a system, but it’s more interesting as it might sound.

I’ve learned pretty much and I tried different themes. I think in the future I will write more and more technical stuff.

Maybe many of you know other popular tracking system like Bugzilla, GNATS, and many many others. Personally, I like JIRA last but not least because I worked many years with it and I’m impressed with a simplicity of the workflows it offers.
However, this is not one post that should bring JIRA near to you. But if you know that you need it, now is best time to get it, because Atlassian started their “Get Started” Price, which now allows you to by full functional JIRA for only 10$ for ever - even with one year support.

Folder Monitr allows automatically upload of Pictures to the Flickr. This tool is very useful to me because it can work automatically in the background and therefore reduce one manual step in my picture processing. So basically i can now use only Lightroom end export my developed pictures to the “watched” folder and they will automatically upload to flickr in the background. All tags are taken and even Set can be specified by subfoldering, which is also cool.

Hello friends, I’m pleasure to report progress in development of wPopularity plug-in. Yesterday I took some time just for me and wPopularity. After hours of bootstrap debugging (change, ftp upload, look ofr changes) of wPopularity I finally understood why activation problems occurred. Also I refactored the plugin. But i’m still not at the and. The next released version is at least 1.0.0. I do not plan to test it on Wordpress version below 2.

Google is kindly enough and tries to contact you in such case, when they about to throw your site out of the index because your site is malware infected. In such one unlucky case you get the Malware Notification.

In that article, I will cover key factors of success on news-driven social communities like well-known DIGG and will cover my first serious steps with DIGG in the next article.
Currently, I’m the number 49 of top users of the Russian DIGG sister RDS1, therefore I think to have some experience and some kind of instinctive feeling for mechanisms in such communities.

At first look on Yahoo Buzz we see several categories of news and voting buttons aside of them with the ability to voting up. Digg principle so far. The difference of the new Yahoo service is that Yahoo Buzz seemed to be intended to work closely with Yahoo’s already existing news providers and services.

New Wordpress plug-in is born. I’ve created a new branch from the latest version of famous Popularity Contest Plugin.
While the Popularity Contest Plugin does not support widgets natively, you need to code your templates to show most popular list of post on the Sidebar. My Widgetized Popularity Contest Plugin - short W-Popularity solves that, by providing dynamically widget for it.
Here are the features of the first public version of my W-Popularity Plugin:

Due SEO considerations it is not recommended (e.g. by Matt Cutts) to spend precious page rank on links like log-in, register forms, rss pages and other meta stuff. One should mark them as nofollow and that is one example where nofollow attribute can be turned in something useful.
Nearly every Wordpress blog would have something like Meta section in the sidebar, every link there should be marked as nofollow. Unfortunately they are not coded in one widget, they are distributed over two files in the standard wordpress installation.

Everybody knows the drawbacks of Java Applets. Long loading times, browser freezing, and stability problems. That fact does not make java applet popular1. Most of those problems lie in the quality of the java browser plug-in itself, which was not really good and was not improved over a longer time.
Sun has ground up rewritten the browser java Plug-in. Following was done in this rebuild.
Improved scripting support (So javascript integration is better) Improved reliability Supports more powerful applets (applets can ask for more memory) Better windows vista support (signed applets) Enterprise features (run one applet in a particular JRE version) The last point sounds very interesting to me.

Occupational i deal with people who works with already aged version WSAD IDE (Rational Application Developer for Web Sphere). I think they use version 5 which is based on eclipse platform in version 2.0 or 2.1 where code folding was not supported.
Code folding feature of eclipse based IDE allows you to clap currently not interesting code fragments like methods, constructors or import statements just in place in your current editor window.

The intention was to stem spam-links, that can largely occur in some webpages, especially blog comments.
