Every year i try some of them and  remove them after few hours. As i remember, they where resource-hungry or just bad in reverse engineering

Some weeks ago i tried ObjectAid UML Explorer Class Diagram and liked it. It could quick and easy create simple class Diagrams – just by Drag & Drop. And i had no problems with static constructors or inner classes and other stuff in the code which causes problems to another Plug-ins.

Unfortunately Object Aid Sequence Diagram are not free but cost not much for private usage. Maybe i’ll try it soon.

But first i would ask you what is your favorite Eclipse IDE Plug-in for fast and easy (e.g. partly) revers engineered UML diagrams which can be used to show some architectural details to your colleagues?

The problem lies in WSCompile-Ant-Task. Build-script execution freezes on the wscompile task. I describe that problem more detailed on techjava.de

Please feel free to comment here or there if you know what died changed in Ganymede in ant scripts handling since Europe release and how to fix it.

UPD. Solution!

The problem seems not to do anything with eclipse (logical) but it depends on used ant version. Some version are not good for wscompile.
In my case ant version 1.6.5 and 1.7.1 where not good for wscompile task.
In ant 1.7.0 wscompile tasks works as usual.

Great news for developers who are working with eclipse and bea servers. Bea Web Logic Server tools enables native support of latest versions of bea servers (10.0, 9.x and 8.1) in eclipse installation. One of the features it enables, is debugging of server-side applications running on BEA. Of course it was possible to debug on Bea also without that Plug-in, but WebLogic Server Tools makes it more comfortably. Further, Server Tools includes mechanisms for using WebLogic J2EE libraries from eclipse projects.

How to install? Bea do not provides an updatesite at the moment, so that you have to download and unpack that plugin manualy.

And of course BEA WebLogic Server Tools are available free of charge to all licensed WebLogic Server users.

OK earlier i had just to adopt some of part of scripts for my needs, but with emerging of Ajax and Web 2.0 also i have more often do deal with JavaScript. So i need one appropriate Editor or better an IDE special for JavaScript. But it comes better, Felix Geisendörfer (Man behind “ThinkingPHP and beyond”) , tells me that he is using Notepad++ and Aptana. Aptana seem to be that IDE for JavaScript i was looking for.
The focus of Aptana is development of Ajax enabled web applications. The Aptana IDE is based on Eclipse Rich Client Platform, and ins available as Standalone Application and also as Plug-in for Eclipse IDE. Both have the same features set. And it is of course perfect for me, because i try to use Eclipse for everything (And it it possible ;) ). To install the plug-in use this Update-site: Aptana perspective. There you can for example create a new project based on some famous JavaScript Frameworks:

Aptana is a new IDE, the current version is 0.2.7 but it already has some interesting features and it the best for me and my Java-scripts. Aptana rapidly gains community, and i thing this project will succeed in the future, and do it already right now. With new versions of Eclipse PHP IDE and Aptana, developers have, open source web development oriented IDE of the first class!
